so the other day my chic and i were hiking out by some abandoned mines in my area and we stumbled across this on the side of what seemed like it used to be (or at least could) be a road. it didn't seem to be on private property, but it would be interesting to see how either a flat bed or trailer would get to it, but it has no hood and the roof has been jumped on pretty bad. there are no emblems on it so i have been trying to figure out what it is...it does not have flat glass on front and it seemed like the emblem on the back might have been an olds emblem(because the imprint left on the car was large and circular) sorry this is the only pic i got before my phone died...let me know what you guys think. is it worth the adventure of looking into trying to get it???

i dont know, the 53-54 packard has a part of the grill that wraps around to the side. this car doesnt and has no appearance to ever have. it might be a 52 plymouth but the grill and bumper guards dont seem to match on that either...i wish i had more pics

my chic just told me that she thinks she took some pics with her camera that day while i was messing with my phone trying to get it to work. i will check tonight and see about posting them...if not maybe we gotta plan to go hiking again this weekend...thx guys for your help...and it might be a 51-52 packard, but the only thing is that there was not evidence of the port holes on the rear quarter section.

Yeah, it looks like a Packard, and a 2 door, also. If it isn't too rusty, it's worth saving.

well here are the pics that my chic took of the car... you were right...it is definitely a 51-52 Packard...i still havent figured out if im gonna go get it or not...but i appreciate the help...how hard do you guys think it would be to dummy up on a hood for it???

  18. 4-doors like that are dirt common to snitch a top, front and rear glass, and a hood from. No one repops panels for those so even if you parted it out you'd do okay, you could probably sell everything below the beltline off it.

Actually, the dent in the roof looks like it would pop out pretty easily. A friend of mine, who is a bodyman by trade, has always said that dents are easy to fix, but fixing rust is the tough part. You should be able to find an original hood without too much trouble.

At the very least, this would be an excellent donor car to make a 4 door into a 2 door. Could probably buy a running, complete 4 door cheap, combine it with this one and be into it for very little money. Shame just to leave it there.
