What is the score now? one blizzard per week since Christmas? We were visiting our kids for Christmas & New Years in northeren NJ, got hit with 21", the day the roads were plowed we hauled a**, and damn if it didn't snow in SC too! UGH! My utility bill is encroaching my project fund, this crap needs to come to a halt NOW!
No new snow in north cental Wi 18 degrees 15-20 inches of snow on the ground 30-50 mph winds still not as bad as these pics from southern Wi. and northern Ill.
this is my shop and some cars from central illinois, 10" of snow and 40mph winds! I am so sick of cleaning out my garage, but when its snow it sucks even worse!
Got about a foot to maybe 2 feet with drifting here, nowhere near as bad as some of you guys. Nothing that "The Rat " won't handle. Sorry, no current pics.
When I was a kid we lived on Loring air force base(northern Maine) the snow piles wouldn't be melted till june.

We are supposed to get at least 6 inches of snow here, but I don't know if it will make it. I hope so because I might be off with pay until Monday if it does! It was almost a whiteout a few minutes ago. My parents have a police scanner, and someone called in that there was a car in the ditch in front of their house. They called back later and said nevermind it was just one of theirs! LMBO!
Another 4-5 inches overnight in Tulsa. Lets see I left Iowa for this? Time to get the wife out to scoop the driveway.
Yesterday they were saying that we would get between 4 to 6 inches of snow, well we've gotten over 12 inches and it's still ain't over! Be carful what you wish for, it's heading your way...
I booked a trip to Cozumel for the girlfriend and I for the week of 01/27/11-02/03/11. Pretty good planning on my part as that storm hit right in the middle. We got home (Michigan, about a hundred miles north of Detroit) early Friday morning and we couldn't believe the snow. I know its mean but while everyone else was looking out the windows at the snow, here's the scenery I was checking out!
The snow sucks but the goddamn frigid weather is worse! It hasn't been above 30 deg in a month, suppose to hit 39 this sunday damn t-shirt weather!!!! To put a positive spin on it, at least the lake levels should be up this spring, which means boating for us....and drinking water for all you water vampires in the desert.... and Tman has it, it's cyclical but if your job is to study global warming and your research grant money depends on global warming continuing are you going to come out and say, you know what we were wrong, yeah right!
Garden City Michigan here. I'm done for I can't shovel another load of this crap. I surrender . Too old to fight it.
30 seconds into this You Tube video - No more shoveling Super Cool these guys ROCK that invented this http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=tPg1ZMiC9pA
70 degrees here in Rapid City today And no it is not global warming, the official record of 64 was set 95 YEARS AGO!
It sounds like the chinook winds kicked in and you got a some heat up there! It's a hell of a lot better than last Tuesday and Wednesday when it was around zero and hadn't been above freezing for a while in Rapid! The Black Hills of South Dakota are home to the world's fastest recorded rise in temperature, a record that has held for over sixty years. On January 22, 1943, the northern and eastern slopes of the Black Hills were at the western edge of an Arctic airmass and under a temperature inversion. A layer of shallow Arctic air hugged the ground from Spearfish to Rapid City. At about 7:30 am MST, the temperature in Spearfish was -4 degrees Fahrenheit. The chinook kicked in, and two minutes later the temperature was 45 degrees above zero. The 49 degree rise in two minutes set a world record that is still on the books. By 9:00am, the temperature had risen to 54 degrees. Suddenly, the chinook died down and the temperature tumbled back to -4 degrees. The 58 degree drop took only 27 minutes. Like we always say in South Dakota, if you don't like the weather, just wait 5 minutes! I checked the temperature records for today in Rapid and it was 62 degrees in 1985 and -21 in 2007. I think its getting colder there ever since I bought land out there in 2006!
No Chinooks, just WARM, like the winters of my youth. 85 was after TWO hard winters out here.................cycles man, its all cycles.
Trailer? Really? If you cant drive it...leave it home. I get a kick out of the "TRADITIONAL" crap here. What a joke. In the 60s 70s we dragged our cars to the winter shows in all kinds of weather and cleaned it up when we got there. I do like your car but......why bother. Plastic trophy? Cookies?
Wow. Really? Trailer, yes. I had a really clever and cuttingly sarcastic response to the above brainless post, but I'm turning over a new leaf. That, and is it really worth the trouble to insult somebody who probably wouldn't even realize it? Brian
