Just like the title asks. I've tried googling it, but maybe I'm not using the right words, cause I keep getting poly and hardened bushings when I search.
I didn't look, but try Mcmaster Carr, they carry all kinds of fittings and industrial stuff like that.
Got to be some steel places near you, they usually sell to businesses, but most have a retail place on the side.
I could buy a length of tube and make one, but really, I only need a 3/4" long piece. Thanks for the leads. I'll make some calls.
E-mail or call the guy's at Welder Series, tell em I sent you. They should be able to make up anything you need, and they are great bunch of guyz. 1-888-648-2150
make sure its DOM....electroweld tubing isnt meant for bushings...might try and get dom a little bigger yhen go to a machine shop and have them make a bronze bushing to go inside
I actually work at a factory with a machine shop. I could have one made there if it came to it, but it would be when they have freetime and I'm pretty impatient. I figured if I could find one online for a few bucks, I'd be ahead in the long run. It's really not a bushing that I need, I just need something to take up space between a 1" ID and a 3/4" OD. I'm fitting a set of early 70's Japanese forks onto a 72 Triumph Bonneville and need it to be weldable to hold everything together. I know how to use most of the machines in the tool room except the lathe. Now that I think about it hard enough, I can probably make one myself if I go in early. I just don't want to be under foot when they're trying to work.
