THIS IS THE FIRST PICS OF THE INTERIOR, IT GOING TO BE BROWN SADDLE LEATHER REPLACING THE OLD BROADCLOTH. IT SEEMS THE INTERIOR IS GOING TO JUST AS DIFFICULT AS EVERYTHING ELSE. I LIKE THE STYLE OF THE ORIGINAL SEATS SO AM GOING TO JUST COPY THE ORIG STYLE AND PLEATS. SHOEN IS THE ORIG INTERIOR THIS WAS A 60HP STANDARD CAR FROM THE FACTORY, SO THE ORIG SEAT WAS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. THE FRONT SEAT WILL BE DONE THE SAME WAY. HAVE NOT DECIDED ON DOOR PANELS. HEADLINER WILL BE FROM LEBARON BONNEY AND BE A ORIG MATERIAL USED I A 37 TO 40 FORD , HAVE NOT PICKED THE EXACT MATERIAL AND STYLE YET, CARPETING I DO NOT HAVE A CLUE OTHER THAN SHORT NAP OR LOOP ANY SUGGUSTIONS?? I really like what you've done on the seats, much like I want to do on my 38 Standard. By the way, that pattern looks more like the 38 Deluxe, rather than the 37. Nothing wrong with that, just thought I'd point that out. I've been investigating these 37-38 Ford interiors, seriously for the past six months, and am getting to liking what Ford did better and better all along. With the door pannels, I was thinking about doing those narrow pleats down the middle of the door panel, to blend in with the seats. Bill in Iowa
thanks the interior has been tough to design, to find the color of leather i wanted (had to show my idea to the upholstry shop, i spent a lot of time in the women's shoe dept's around town till i found the color i wanted, boy did i get some strange looks. the seats looked pretty orig, i am only the 4th owner, so i would be live there gennie seats. the car was 60hp standard, but ford was always good for small changes during the model year. your door panels design sounds good and maybe even better with a deluxe garnish moulding.
