Not sure about Cali, but over the phone in NY, the DMV antique/historical plate folks ran a set of plates I said I owned in order to find out if they were clean, (before I actually bought them off of ebay). Duane
Call the DMV in the morning, they can tell you. You will need two of them, and they must be in decent shape for them to approve them for registration. Plus they need to be for the year of manufacture for the car, (i.e. 1956 plates on a 1956). But you probably already knew that stuff. Just F.Y.I. for anybody else. I'd LOVE a clear set of 51 plates! (And two 52 tags to go with it.) Maybe the Easter Bunny will bring 'em for me? I've been a good girl.
aaaaaahahahahahahaha '51 plates you had to pick one the more expensive ones ('51 or a '47). sorry christy i only have a pair of '47's and they are waiting my future buick when i find it. by the way on the plates remember you can only use '56 and older plates.
