paint help!!!!!!!!!!1

I sprayed base coat over an hour ago and now when I went to tape off my flames I get real bad tape tracks...what am I doing wrong??

Are you useing the green thin tape from 3m?

 

you only waited an hour.......paint isn`t dry enough would be a good guess.......

 

Im using 3m blue fine line....I gonna wait another hour and try again,...

 

It might not be I figured (thats where I probably went wrong) that since its 70 degrees in the shop it should be dry....

 

My guess is let it set up ,The window should be on back of can ,I dont think your dry .....

 

should have tested in an incon****uios area before trying to lay tape, unless you are in a heated booth an hour isn`t long enough for any paint i ever seen....you`ll need a few hours.....

 

You may have to use an inter coat clear to activate the base coat . Then tape and spray flames . Then a finish clear and sand and polish. Check with your paint supplier.

 

Your paint may be dry but at only an hour it hasn't cured enough so it's to soft to work with.
