Can anyone anyone assist in ID'ing this cab (my new toy)

I know it is a Ford (a F8 I think) unknown year, thoughts?

Has a bendix-westinghouse air brake gauge on the dash (sorry for the crappy pics)

Dash is 51 or 52.

 

i have the vin if that would help...and thanks mike i think you are dead on on the date range.

 

The first four charicters are the year and model D2 would be 52 D1 would be 51 the first 2 are the model f1 ect

 

51/52. With that dash.

 

so "*F8K2AT-######*"
would be a 1952 F8?

Lets just hope it gets built with Fenders !

 

fenders are still in debate (as finding them has proven to be difficult), the paint is remining orig. (i can't bear to cover the hand done lettering). it was the best $250 I have ever spent

 

That and the brake controller says F8. I don't yet understand the 3rd charicter but the2 is 52, this is fun, now lets figure out the build date
