HAMB Friendly Trans. shop Phoenix

  1. Looking to put a non HAMB friendly trans, in my HAMB friendly 55 Ford project.
    Need to get an AOD built behind a 302.
    Any good recomendations for Phoenix, AZ trans. shops??

    Check out these guys,J&W Transmissions (602) 269-0771 ,two blocks north of Camelback on 59th Ave. Long time Ford racers and co-sponsors of the Nostalgia Drags at Speedworld coming up in March,there is always a HAMB tent up at the event.I have a 302/ AOD in my '54 Ford sedan.

    had a j&w built c-6 behind a built 410 fe, i beat that trans HARD,broke the case before any internals failed. they built at least 10 of mine/my freinds trans and not one problem. no bs, quick turn around, and on top of that they have some of the best prices around.

    I was going to say Ernie at Save - on, I have known him for about thirty years now. But, I have to admit, I stopped in a couple oif weeks ago and asked about doing a AOD for the G/F Falcon and he was "fed up with AODs"... Don't know if you would get a favorable reaction! You might try sending a P.M. to Markyack here on the board. He is one of the guys from the South West Nostalgia Nats, and makes his living building torque converters. I would trust his recomendation.

    J&W Transmissions - Jim Wray or "The Chief" as we all lovingly call him, has built all of my ******s an most of my motors since highschool and I haven't played nice with any of them :D Always stands behind his work. 602 269 - 0771
