When she told me to go to the track with my FED because it was good air and try it.
The cool part was our wedding was in 6 hours she did tell me not to show up in my fire suit.
Oh and the car ran a 7.82 @ 168 mph what a day.

When she waves her perfectly mannicured hands with metalflake red nail polish and says that this is the color her mini bike needs to be! Or, if her collection of Falcons is now bigger than yours...

 

When she surprises you by buying a 1960 Belair for valentines day, (that was last year)

 

I knew I married the right woman when I let her know Im going to a race,her only reply is-"cool,what day are you coming home?" Pretty awesome woman!plus-she puts up with my lame self-lol

 

When she helps me unload a Caddy motor in a snow storm.
When She has her own gloves in her car just for handling car parts.
When she goes to reno and stops by summit to look at the clearance items without me asking.
When you fishtail and put your just finished project in the ditch and she won't stop laughing and saying how much fun it was.
Hell yeah. I married the right woman!

 

When you spend your honeymoon at Bonneville and are still married 38 years later.

 

Within the first 6 months of marriage there was a Jeep project and 3 boats sitting in the back yard. Got over the boat phase, but she hasn't killed me through all the buying and selling of toys.
Plus she spends garage time with me, goes to swap meets, car shows, etc. Most of our vacations have a car show at the destination or we manage to stumble across one.

My friend agreed when we had garage night, he ran out of beer, so I stuck my head in the house and asked her to run grab more from the store (she was doing homework). Closed the door and I thought I was going to have to pick his jaw up off the floor, said his wife would have had some words for him if he pulled that.

Oh and its been 10 years in April, got married when we were 18/20 and a lot of people thought we were crazy.

At the end of the race season last year, I lost the crankshaft out of my BB/FC. I decided that it was time to retire the old towtruck engine and switch to a Hemi. I did not feel the old car would handle the new added HP. So I decided to take the season off and build a new car. Over dinner one night I explain my intentions to my bride and she say's " we will be in divorce court before you spend a summer at home, we'll do whatever it takes to get you out there!!" I know divorce would have been a whole lot cheaper!!

So here is the progress

 

The decision of which econo-box would be her daily driver was based on how many bulky and/or heavy car parts can fit in the back. And I quote: "But we could fit an engine in the back of this one! then we can take trips to get you parts!" hence the decision to get a pt cruiser. I LOVE my woman!!

 

when she buys you a 1975 shovelhead for your 30th birthday, and a 1969 bel air 2dr post, just because you've always wanted one..... and then this week says how about getting back to work on the henry j again and get ordered up the parts we need, so we can get it on the road this summer ! i have to say she is a keeper!!!

 

19 Years and she still likes building cars with me.

When she is not ashamed to ride in your Chrome Yellow 55 g***er on the street. Then she races it in the powder puff race and pulls an extra grand between shifts. Just proved I can build a good 327.

 

1. She finds our first project.

2. She starts pulling old wires while your taking a nap.

3. She always asks what are we gonna do next.

 

22 years ago I met this girl. A few weeks later I got in a motorcyle wreck and broke both wrists and 8 fingers. I had to take a wicked poop but couldn't figure out how to wipe my Obama.
She said: "I'm brave enough to do it if you're brave enough to let me."

Yep, she's a keeper.

 

I bought a 37 Ford Sedan so we can take her mother along on trips. Turns out she would rather have had a 1928 Graham Paige ratrod pickup that showed up a a car show last summer that had lichens growing on the fenders. ( Gary, I hope you see this)

 

well we are not married yet wedding is next month but today when we where pulling weeds she says honey i will do this you go in the shop and work on your hot rod. it only took me 2 seconds to say see u later lol

 

When my Rockin' wife comes out to the garage while I'm replacing the tires on my motorcycle in sultry lingerie... And it was a great afternoon that I knew I married the right girl... Need I say more?!

 

When I fell in love the first minute we met....to mushy? When my Rod & Custom mag hits the house before I do & she is telling me all about the articles she read...& buys me the right tools for Xmas....I love that woman! Did I also say we've been married 15 years...

 

.....She still looks at you with respect even though you only had a grand total of 4 hours of work for the week and it's Her job that is paying the bills for the last few months.
......you never hear the words "you should sell that thing in the garage, we need the money" because she loves it too as part of the family.
......the guy on the other end of the engine lift is your gal.
.....she doesn't do manicures any more because she knows she will just wreck it helping you on your ride.
......she hangs with you in the shop or on the couch when cash is tight and not out with her prowling girl friends.

 

you come home and you find her welding on your truck, or blocking sanding your car while your at work..

 

married only one year when i decided to chop a bike in our kitchen.she loved it when it was done.have bought many, many hotrods and bodies over the years and she never once said no more.she pays the household bills and i pay the shop bills.as of day i have 5 projects in the works and she still listens to me when i am mad or excited.got love her. she has stayed with me thru all my drinkin years and crippling bike wreck, prison term and generaly being a ***hole. going on 33 yrs in april.

 

She does have a nice, clean rear end.

I can think of a lot of reasons to say I married the right woman. Most of them have to do with not carring how much is spent, able to crawl under one in the snow to help change a ****** and on and on.

Helping the boss is as good a reason as any.

 

3 1/2 years, she's out there working on your car, she supports your working on the car, 3 1/2 years. Your guy needs to experience one of these young urban girls, make him spend his check on skinny jeans, smelly goods, and gold charms. He'll be down on both knees to you with a prayer to the lord for your lovin and forgiveness.

 

When she admits she had been racing your big block 4 speed F100 while you were out of town, and winning every time. She may have raced that truck more than I did! lol
