    Hey HAMBers!

Just curious how many of you are attending Lead East this year?

Curious if there's any chance the greats like Gene Winfield or Bill Hines could make it? I remember seeing Gene back in 2008, it would sure be nice if he could make an appearance again!! :D

You know Joe and Adam (Joe with the '59 Plymouth 4 door and Adam with the purple '58 Plymouth)? Do you know if they're members on this site?

Didn't know you had participation in the Kopper Kart; did you meet my oldest brother John Maurice?

Hope to take the Willys this year. Last 2 years took the 49 Merc.

Absolutely! I've known Joe and Adam a long time. Joe doesn't have the '59 any longer unfortunately. He bought an early 60's Mopar, though I forget what model. Adam has a nice collection including that gorgeous purple Fury and a very cool red and white scalloped 4 door 58 Plymouth. I don't get to see those guys as much as I used to, but it's fun to catch up at Lead East.

I do know your brother, we're Facebook friends in fact! John's a great guy, we always had fun with him down at the shop and out in Gettysburg. My participation with the Kart is pretty limited, but it was fun to lend a hand with whatever Mark and them needed me on and debuting it out in Detroit. That project was a blast!

    Parsippany NJ Hilton Hotel
Call the hotel directly (One Hilton Court, Parsippany, NJ 07054
    (973) 267-7373) and contact Linda (LeadEastInfo@aol.com) at Lead East. A few years back I got in when someone had to cancel. Plus start a new post to see if anyone already signed up has to cancel. Since hotel must be paid in May maybe around that time something would open up.

If you get a room with the hotel ask who had the room, as you should beable to get their ****ng spot with Lead East.

I do beleive they were filled before end of Sept. 2010.

    Good luck.

Oh no!! I hope I can make it. I told my parents to get on it, because we've planning for quite a while. I couldn't make it last year or the year before....a trend I'm never going to do again. I'm going to lead east every year until the day I die!

Aw man that ****s he ridded the '59! I loved that car so much. I love Adam's 4 door scalloped Plymouth, that one looks so cl***ic. He should bring that to Lead East this year.

I think I saw your photos on facebook, I'm about to friend ya. Are you bringing the '57 to Lead East this year? Ever since I saw those photos through Adam's profile on facebook I nearly fell over, that's such a cl***ic looking ride. I have to see it this year, please bring it!! It would be greatly appreciated! It's the Pearl Necklace right? :-D

That's really awesome! Unfortunately I was a bit too young to probably have any participation in the Kopper Kart but I remember seeing it before and after it was chopped several times in his garage. I wish I could've had some participation with it, but my jaw dropped when I saw it cruising around at Lead East. It was an unforgettable moment indeed.

I really look forward to seeing you at Lead East this year!! May the time fly by until then!

I think you can still get a room, you should be able to at least! Before it was last minute and we got a room just in time. You're doing Plan A right?

They should get back to me today and we should have a room.

What's the Hilton charging for the rooms that weekend?
I heard a few crazy prices, tell me their wrong before I dive into this!

I'm tryin to talk the ***guy into comin out with me. He probably won't have his Olds ready for that far a trip, but he'll make one hell of a great ***** for the weekend don't ya think!! :D

Someone from the area of Lead East keep us posted on what effect the storm (Irene) might have on the event next week.

    Thanks,

this is the same idiot who told me to "f-off" in another thread about lead east while hes having a hissy fit like a 5 year old over spectator parking prices, lead east being a goldchainer event, and entry fees for show cars being too high for his taste.....and blue haired 70 year olds in poodle skirts flooding the dance floor at an event held in hotel parking lots; not a traditional venue. he obviously needs some happy meds

Every show that's worth going to costs money. I've been going to Lead East since I was a kid, like him or not Terry Cook attempts to give you your moneys worth. I go to shows in fields and parking lots that cost $10 or $15 for a few cars/hours. It cost me and my buddy $40 to drive his truck into the Rumblers Ny show last year so it has nothing to do with "gold chained" events. Everything costs money.
