lokar shifters

    has anyone out there used that knob conversion on that shifter, or better yet figured out how to convert them without spending 50.00 on a what looks like a fancy lock nut ,,it looks like that nut just holds the ****on part down so you can use any knob you want to , tips please or anyone that has used that conversion :confused:

    Used the conversion on my shifter for a th350 just recently, and I found it to be VERY quick and easy. In my opinion it was worth the extra bucks. It effectivey converts the entire down-force of the ****on, to instead using the entire knob as the pushing down.

    I just went through the same deal coup. There is a little sleeve like part in the kit thats pretty trick. I'm happy with my kit. You should be able to find it for 25-30 bucks. Theres a picture in my build thread below...

    i have it on mt 52.. easy install, works great... was around 20 bucks for mine..
     
  6. I made my own but not the best. Bought a Lokar and installed it. Not thrilled with it but it worked better than the POS I made. After rebuilding the trans I never could get it to work right again so went back to the regular push****on.

    Just put one on a customers car - worked great, well worth it
