thanks for the props, guys. I'm so glad this thread exists to show the 1:1 guys how far model building has progressed from when we were kids. Forgotten, the shift knob is two halfs glued together with super glue, then the brass was glued to the ball, and then the whole thing glued to the shift lever. '40 Fords seem to look good no matter what you do to them. Pharouh, yours and mine couldn't be at more opposite ends of the spectrum. Nice work, especially on the paint job. I need to get to sanding mine down and get it in the booth ...
It's starting to look like 40 Ford week around here. I get my wire from a local electronics store, but most modelers get the same stuff from Radio Shack. It's 30g wire-wrap wire. Bernard, thanks for the compliment on the interior. Your 29 looks done. I was surprised you're still calling it a work in progress. I was reading about the movie premier in a magazine. You nailed it. I love the bare metal hood. I'm building a 32 and was very tempted to steal the hood look, only without side panels. Great work (again )
Nice stuff gang. Anybody got some good rear view detail shots of modified 'T's or bobber trucks they've done? How about a good source or idea for a 1/25 scale gas tank? My thought is to use a small Bic lighter.

There's the bic lighter, painted aluminum. I used a full size one and cut it down and added plastic ends. The smaller lighter may work without modification.
Thanks Lyle, That works great with that application. The plastic is easy to work with too, isn't it? This is a beautiful model. Every detail works nicely, I'd love to see more views of it.
