Folks Of Interest My 3 year old hotrod chick...

Hello all, I havent posted much on here, but yesterday while messing around the shop I had a very proud papa moment with my little girl. I was working in the shop and she came out of my office and said "Daddy I want to ride in your old car" refering to my 46 coupe. So of course excitedly I droped what I was doing and we jumped in the car, so as were messing around the parking lot I took her in my lap, then soon after she took the reigns and was having a ball putting around! We musta spent half an hour lapping our parking lot.. I took a video of the excitement.

I thought some of you guys and gals would enjoy, and I figured Id show there is still some hope for future hot rodders

I might suggest 2 and 10 but it looks like she can`t reach them yet. Precious!!!

 

Thats great....My dad used to do that with us when we were kids....Imagine the **** you would be in doing that on the streets today......lol

 

Thank you guys! Yea shes my little buddy, and a huge sweetheart! Whatever im doin she has wants to join, she loves hanging at the shop and getting dirty, shes always poking wrenches and screwdrivers at what im working on, but I think letting her drive sealed the deal on being a gear head!

My son been into cars since the same age. Now he's help me build a deuce vicky and now he's building his own chopped 34 Chevy sedan. We need the young people to carry on our love for hot rods.

You are one lucky guy,Justin. Treasure these moments with her. I rode woods bikes with my two children.Now they are all grown up and I'm waiting for my grandaughter to get big enough to drive my roadster with me.

nice moment for you and your girl. my 9 year old girl was the first one to come see my new 33 chevy sedan project the day it was delivered. she said it was an 'easily do-able' project and was certainly 'worthy' today she told a co-worker ' around 6 months 'when asked how long its gonna take dad to get it running!!

Seriously, what a great video. That is something you guys will treasure for many years. You should do one like that at least once a year until she's 16, to do***ent her progress. Add some video of her turning wrenches too!

Thats awesome man! I cant wait untill the days she actually knows whats going on when build and work on cars. Shes getting there though, I bought a new bike and when I told her about it she had to go see it, we dropped our plans to go see it

Yea you could defiantly see the little girl come out in her with her comments about her shirt haha. I like your idea about doing one once a year! Im going to try and do that. That would be really cool to have to show her and her friends when she is older. Ill get some of her wrenching too to share with you guys.
