Great looking work. That racing picture of your grandpa's is priceless. Is the frame sides your own design?

Oh!, Your not gonna have any problem there. Proportions must not be of any concern to you at all.

Nice ride, I will follow the build and try to keep up. I'm building a 31 Chevy and I started around the same time. Keep up that high speed pace, It keeps ya from losing interest. Looks great and I cant wait to see more. When do you pan on having it rolling?

exciting build man. not for everyman, but love watching how you do. just got my 33 chevy master 4dr last week. it was half built, and put away 20 + years ago, now i'm finishing. it'll be a traditional build, keeping original paint for now, 40 year old paint w/ lots of patina. 350 700r4 ford 9in. photos and build coming soon.

I give you full marks for building something different! And with a Packard mill no less - AWESOME! That racing pic was taken at the old Langford Speedway here in Victoria. What was your Grandpa's name? Regards, Dave.

I got my new front end and brakes all together. And the frame is all tacked together with temporary bracing. Now I am drawing the frame in solid works to make a 3D model so I can draw all the cross members to get them all cut out and built so I can install them this week.

Yes, Victoria, B.C. Canada (on Vancouver Island) and yes, I do recall hearing your grandpa's name back in the 70's when it was my good fortune to meet many of his fellow racers when I myself ran oval track and also belonged to the Golden Wheels Fraternity which had a lot of the old guys who ran in the Northwest at various tracks as members. Your grandpa would have remembered Pike and Bud Green, Jack Spaulding, Digger Caldwell, Howie Stanley, Tony West, and many others. Regards, Dave.

    Hello Dave,
This is rjlilhaus's uncle....my father is John Hausmann. I have many newspaper articles and pics from back in the day when he was involved in racing here in the Pacific Northwest. I have been to Victoria on two occasions and really enjoyed it...eight days on one vacation, and it was an awesome stay!
