Last year ****ed due to the heavy rains. Previous years were rad. I'll be there again this year...if it doesn't rain again.

Yes, I have been many times. It is a good swapmeet for sure. San Diego is great unless it is pouring rain like it was last year. But what's a little rain in the sunny world of hotrodding.

    One of the best ever!!

  9. HA! I love that swap, one of the best in so cal and it's only once a year.

  10. Great swap meet...always a good time...just get there early as sometimes they are unorganized when it comes to parking and have been known to turn people away at the gate

Best swap in So Cal! We go every year ,rain or shine! We actually bought a cart(now VERY modified) to haul our stuff back to the vehicle after overloading ourbackpacks and arms for a third time a few years ago!
Making many trips back to the buyer parking ****s...but well worth it!
We have been to Turlock in Nor Cal , Hershey in PA and live within rock tossing distance of Pomona ,the Big 3 is by far the best out there.
It is the way Pomona was 30 years ago,not a bunch of sock vendors just the contents of garages in need of new digs!

friday has always been good to me as a buyer, and it looks like might be the only good day weather wise this year. I cancelled my plans to go this weekend last night, however. When it rains at this show, it is the coldest damn thing I have ever imagined! The girl friend was looking forward to her first BIG swap as a car owner, and I don't want three days of freezing rain to be her first taste... Might just be life altering, know what I mean?!?!

Yeah, looking at the forecast, friday maybe the only day to go. That pretty much answers it right there, driving out friday. I know what you mean, 3 days of freezing rain might put a big damper on things!

I want to go, but I'm broke right now. Plus I am getting my taxes done on friday, and it sounds like the weekend is going to get rained out again. Wish it was next weekend after I get paid.

You need to be there all 3 days. Some sellers set up Thursday.

You find things at this meet that you won't find anywhere else. Great time, even in the rain. Pack some rain gear just in case.

  24. working friday, so sat it will be. is all the stuff still out if it rains or does everyone just pack it up until sunday.

I was looking forward to this one... I hope I can make the trip down next year.

Maybe someone can post some pictures after the fact. I'm interested in seeing how big this meet is and what I'll be missing.

I just pulled up to the public gate and they aren't letting any buyers in till 12. When did it change because there is no times on the website. I know fridays use to be only for sellers. It ****s cause the rain is suppose to start around noon

No rain all day today, I was there 9 - 7 and filled a whole truck load with purchased parts. The sun came out around 1 and stayed till 4:30.

People were packing it up, they didn't want to sell in the rain.

Did anyone see the blonde with the pig on a leash???
