    Hey guys,

I know this might be a stupid question but I am trying to seperate the engine from the transmission on a 54 264 nailhead. It has a dynaflow automatic trans. I have the bolts from the bell housing to the engine out. The cover on the front of the transmission is off exposing the flywheel. I can see up in there but I cant find what is holding me from seperating them. It moves a little bit but something is definetly holding them. Its probably something really easy im just looking over, but I would really love some help on this.

    Thanks,

    Tyler

there are bolts that hold the flywheel to the torque conv. sometimes they have locking nuts on them. you will have to rotate the engine or trans to get them to spin around. if the engine is stuck you can get lucky sometimes and seperate the trans from the torque converter by wiggling and sliding back

Did you get the torque tube/driveline detached also?

The engine and trans are already out of the car. Its definetly those three bolts. The motor is stuck but I should be able to figure out something. I appreciate the help.

    Thanks,

    Tyler
