I looked for an "I am stupid" tag, but all I saw was tech, customs, etc.. hahahaha

I know tons read my thread on wrecking my 55 into my garage, so I thought I would give you all an update.

first things first, before I worked on anything else on the car I completed the brakes on it and got them functioning excellent. Converted it to a dual stage master and replaced every line on the car.

Next, I was able to save the right front fender. Left front was a total loss but I had a replacement in the back yard. Radiator was a total loss but a friend had another so I'm good there. Front splash pans were a total loss so I ordered new ones. They will be here end of this week. Trans cooler was a loss also.

I got the body straightened back out with the exception my replacement fender needed an eyebrow I'll get that welded in tonight.

All in all I consider myself very fortunate that no one got hurt, the damage to the structure was very minimal, and the car was fairly easily repaired.

I should have it in paint in a couple weeks. For now here is a lousy cell phone teaser shot.

Glad you got it back together so quickly.

  3. Just stay away from the loud peddle until after you paint it. Remember Murphy is watching.

Glad it all worked out for ya.

Cool! Glad you're back on track.

  5. Good idea to do the brakes first. Reminds me of the guy who was trying to sell a car with bad brakes and advertized "Runs great, no stopping it."

That is cool, good thing it happened before paint. Plus you are better off having the brakes coverted to dual also so it doesn't happen in traffic.

I didn't take any pics before I tore all the parts off, I was so sick over what I had just done I didn't even think to take any. I do have a nice pile of crumpled up parts so one of these days I'll stack them all up and get a picture :D
