new kid to the hamb, putting up a few pics of my project car. Bought this car late 2009 from my uncle who has had it sitting on his property for years now. once i was old enough to actually realize what it was i had to have it. This has been an experience of its own. figured the best way to learn about cars is dealing with it hands on!
my plans as of now is restoring it original, ive got way too many ideas in my head to bore you all lol. halfway tempted to make it a mild custom.
unfortunately someone did a poor job at hacking the top off. to make a removable hardtop. so now i have to weld it back on
Awwwwww, don't do that...make it a "Full Kustom"... Check out my build thread...there's about 25 or 30 pages of how I turned my '55 CDV into a "Full Kustom"... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=329070&highlight=the+best+55+caddy+build Nice Caddy BTW... R-
Thanks! gonna check it out. yeah i know i wanna do a 3-5 inch chop on it, but dont know how its goona look! i wanna keep the round glass in the back, but then again i dont feel like payin 500$ for it! haha
Hey agutto13,No hill for a climber...welding tthe top back on at stock location would be worrth it as you can use original glass, plus I think the proportions look good from the factory on this model. A mild old school custom touch would look good also but keep it mild as thses cars are hard to beat from the factory,no?Good Luck and keep us posted! R~R
Thanks! yeah thats what ive been thinkin i like the way it looks already. and would hate to get rid of the beautiful curved glass!
