Here's our latest project in the making.
Traditional T Bucket with a suicide clip and Y-Block
    Matt is building this one.
First pics are of the before and after of the same Y-Block engine going in this thing.
The remaining pictures are of the mock build-up before paint.
This is going to be paint the 50's baby blue with creme interior and wheels.
The tires are Big and little Diamond backs with whites on both sides.

I also spent the whole weekend finishing up the flathead.
Soon ready to fire. Finished the temp gauge adaptation. Installed two Moon gauges in each head, fit in the radiator with the electric fan and fit up the generator. Here's the picture of my usable space between the engine and raditor. I installed a pusher fan. I hope it pushes enough air to keep it cool. Only need to finish one more carb and hook up the engine wiring and I'm ready. Can't wait! PJ

Looks good, very cool. By coincidence my dad handed me this photo tonight at dinner of a bucket he built in 1965...

The bucket progress really looking good and the mill looks great. I think your big and littles in the background may be a bit radical though!!:p
    Good luck,

    Nice goin' There!

I'm just getting my T project rolling. I can't wait 'till I've made enough progress worthy of pictures.

Looks like one of the Byrd T bucket bodys advertised in the back of HOT ROD magazine back in the 60's. :) HRP

Looks like a great project. I am doing a 26 roadster and plan on using a similar front end. Where did you get the front spring and have you heard of any issues with putting the steering link way out front like that?

    Thanks.
Steering link out front... typical suicide, I know of no issues.
Front Spring.... Try these guys or Posies.

Nice progress, Y block and Flathead look great.

  15. Nice projects. T-bucket should look great. By the way, I'm not familiar with the "Power King" decals on the valve covers. Are they from a truck or what?

Not a Y block guy for sure, These were on the original covers but I think the engine is a truck.

Not with this design. The design has been used for many many years with none of these issues in the good old T-bucket industry.
Very dependable and safe. No offense taken at all... Glad to hear of your safety concerns. :) Pj

I still don't see, with hairpins, why you wouldn't have your draglink in the conventional location.

We have in fact changed them. Didn't like to see them way out there either.
