I just picked up the speedo shown in the photos --from the "55" mark it dates to 1974 - 95 ... Anyone have any info on how to wire it up, set the switches, make a signal sender?

Give me a day or 2, I will dig out my shop manual and post a schematic of the wiring for ya. The switches will need some math based on your tire size x revolutions per mile. I may have the codes as well.

It probably works off a pulse generator. A magnet on the driveshaft flange and a pickup coil might be all you need.

Sorry for the late response... but it's a cool speedo and I'd like to use it in my coupe --- ****** is a 1992 4L60 (same as 700R4 no computer).
Rear tire size is 225/70R15 (yah, I know.....)

Thanks for any info you can give...

I does, but the sender (magnet) goes in the trans and the reluctor ring goes on the out put shaft of the trans, at least on my Eaton trans in my KW.

Don't know if it will work or not

On your picture, The far left terminal is ground, the next two terminals are for the signal generator, and the far right is power. On the signal generator, either wire to either terminal. Calibration instructions are here http://www.isspro.com/installation/IS118.pdf along with a list of signal generators you can use. It will work with any signal generator that provides 15 pulses per revolution or more. If your signal generator does not provide enough pulses, you can use a VSS buffer to multiply the signal.

Great information, thanks fellows. That isspro link has the codes so I should be able to make or find a sender and get this working.
