Was someone making early Ford steering shaft tapered ends??

    I thought I read somewhere sometime ago that you could buy about 12" of the tapered end for Ford steering wheels.
    Am I just dreaming or is this for real??? And if so who is it??

    I've never heard of that, but it's possible. I have seen entire reproduction steering shafts. Pretty pricey for what they are.

    I'm pretty sure Total Performance made a short shaft to adapt the br*** T steering wheel to be used in the T Buckets back in the 70s when they were hot. I don't know if there are any T bucket shops still around but I'd check there. I too harvest the shafts from roached out early boxes. There should be an *** load of old boxes with all the MII front ends.

    Lucky, You can get a tapered shaft from Shroeder any length in 1" incrimates. Phone # 818-565-1133.

    Speedway sells a 3" one.
