I've never been to VLV, but I'm seriously thinkin' of goin' this year... but just for the car show on Saturday (I have tons of stuff to do, Saturday's always my only day)... does it cost to get into the car show?? Is there an age requirement for it? Thanks in advance... Longroof
Alright... so it's free to be in the show (can't take the '64 Impala out it looks like)... which I would guess means that it's free to attend as well?? Maybe I'm just tired of trying to figger it out on the website (no, I think I'm just tired, period), but is there a time frame for the show, or is it just "Saturday"?? Hey, it was fun! Not sure about when we'll be going thru Phx, probably try to zip thru on I-10 and it may be at night on Wednesday. I don't know more about the show, we'll see what happens! I'm planning on staying at a friend's house, and the guys I'm going with are taking an RV kind of thing and two cars, and I'm taking one of my kids. We're gonna play it by ear....
the upper most section of the parking structure is where the "show" happens. people & their cars start roaming in thurs,mostly friday all day.they stake out locations,spots etc...then begin to party.it thins out late fri nite(except the hardcore partiers). staurday morning more of the same but a little hung over.about 9 to 10 am the "official" free to park and show and free to attend and spectate show begins. I've seen late sixties vehicles and big billet wheel cars of all years there more than once. hope this clears it up some. oh yeah,sunday its dead. everyone gone to recuparate.
What's a good time to bring your car into the show on Saturday. How early do cars start showing up? Is there somebody "official" at the enterance that registers and directs cars like at Paso? What ever happened to the HAMB meeting? time???
Cars will start showing up today... by Thursday there will be lots here, and by friday it will be quite full...
So just need to know about my other question... are there any age limits just to attend the car show?? I want to come up with my bro (SIXOCAD on the board), but he's only 16... Longroof
There are no age limits to see the show, and no registration to get on the upper level. There maybe someone at the top this year though since someone will have to keep out the bikes as they have stated. It is definately worth the time to go on Saturday. There are plenty of vendors to see outside, and I've been told therre are more vendors inside, although I never did find them last year. You do have to pay to see the top bands, and you are not allowed to hang out in the Casinos if you are under age, although you can make a pass through for the bathroom. Too bad about the bikes though, there was some cool stuff last year.

As I am fairly new to the HAMB, please say high if you see me around the car. Only know what a few of you guys look like and would sure like to meet as many as I can this weekend. I'm driving a chopped dark Green Deuce Five-Window with a 331 HEMI, aluminum blisters on the hood sides, small window Halibrands and a 1932 Colorado plate. Damn, Fivewindow Johnny, that coupe of yours is a gorgeous machine. Everytime I walked past that thing at VLV last year, my knees became week, my eyes rolled back in my head and I drooled almost uncontrolably. Man, what a nice car.
I shall be floating around all day on both Fri and Sat....plu sI should be makeing an apperance at the Hootch and Smootch and the Hamb meet......I'll either be in a flaming eye Fez (the shorter of the two) or a fedora with the said logo pin on the bow.......can't miss me I'll be tipsy/drunk and smoking...ehehehhee as will may of us.....
