Hello my name is Andy and I am from good old Boise, Idaho. I have been born and raised around old cars thanks to my Dad. He has had more cars then I can think of. I have been able to help him restore a few of them and I have completely wired a couple. I enjoy the wiring part as I like to problem shoot electricity. I was fortunate enough to inherit a 1950 Cadillac 4-door series 61 from my family. My great grandmother bought the car brand new in 1950 off the showroom floor. When I was 14/15 I helped our auto body friend and got the car sanded sanded down and repainted. I swore off ever sanding a huge car again! But somehow I always find my self having to sand things down and repaint or rebuild. It was my high school get around car. It was a blast could fit many of friends in there with the 2 bench seats. Then it had the original 331 in it. After letting it sit for a while I saved up every penny and bought a 1976 Cadillac 500 big block and had it torn down and had it rebuilt. I put Keith Black forged pistons in and everything replaced. I unfortunately haven't been able to fire it yet. Now that i have a shop to work on it I have been able to make great progress on it after letting it sit for about 10 years. I have replaced the rusted out floor pans, filled the firewall and currently in the process of smoothing that all out. I put an auto-addicts.com four link supsension in the rear with air bags. The four link is hooked up to a 10 bolt disc rear end. Up front I built my own lower A-arms so I could mount my front air bags the way I wanted. They turned out pretty good for me only being a hobbyist. Both air bags give about 6-8" of lift and the car sits about 3" from the ground. I have an aluminum radiator to go up front. Right now the frame it at the powder coating place hopefully to get it back beginning of next week and off to work on it again. I have been able to buy a lot of my items off craigslist. Like it is always said with car building guys, this is a small budget build. I enjoy working on anything with a motor and electronics. I have a couple of motorcycles also and want to build a chopper as i have a Harley motor just sitting in storage. I have many questions and like to learn from people that have gone through the same and like constructive critisms on anything I do. Ok enough rambling. Here are a couple pictures of my build (not very good ones). Thanks for reading.
