The leaking thing surprises me, back then I had sets on 3 different sbf's and a B series mopar with no issues, and pretty much everything I touch leaks!

Holley bought a set of NOS M/T covers from me for the SEMA show display

the rep told me the new m/t's will be "sort of" expensive.

You guys did now that this "ugly" "modern design" started in the 65 shift to diecast and Summit Racing still had not only the Holley labled copy but M/T's on the display boards up until the last major remodel.

That is another thing if you get into Fords the 65-68 M/T cover is 1/16th wider than the gasket flange. Which is why it was narrowed but I've never had any other M/T that leaked or had any issue.

Anyway if you have the 65 style on the engine a good steel core gasket generally takes care of the problem.

Maybe they just bought a bunch of old ones and blasted them, polished them, and boxed 'em up?:D

I liked the early MT valve covers before they made the fake looking bolts on top, but I've always preferred the Edelbrocks with their rounded corners much better!
I've had this pair on my car since 1975:

I just bought a hardly "used" pair of SBC M/T valve covers, not that I will ever use them. I bought them because I've NEVER seen a pair of STAGGERED bolt pattern in this style before. I bet they won't be re-popping those. Butch/56sedandelivery.

Interesting that I posted on this; just today, another pair of staggered bolt pattern M/T SBC valve covers came up in the cl***ifieds. Butch/56sedandelivery.

Also, what's odd about them is they have 327 cast on the inside, and 327's did'nt come out until 1962; the 265 and early 283's until 1959 had the staggered pattern hold down(?). Butch/56sedandelivery.
