Mickey Thompsom center section

I have a Mickey Thompsom aluminum 3 rd member for 55-64 Chevy. There doesn't seem to be a lock for the adjusting rings in the caps. Am I missing something?? Does anyone have setup literature for one of these units? Thanks John

 

john mickey thompson did not have have locks ,you can make your own,is yours aluminum or magnesium ? years are 57-64 here is mine magnesium olds case no locks. take care

Alum is a different color. mag has a slight green tint to the surface. If you know the weight on an alum one, the mag is about 1/3 lighter. There has been various coatings to protect mag from oxidizing so it's not a hard rule. Mag that is dow7 is always green. Ed Pink blowers were a sand color. Most of the mag center sections I've seen are greenish.

 

Thanks for the info I think mine is aluminum it is a little more shiny . and doesn't seem to have any discoloration. definitly not green or sand color. JB
