Well, I went and traded my '67 Camaro COPO Clone for '31 Model A Coupe. The car was bone stock about a year ago and has since had a Vega steering box installed, new column, firewall, etc. The frame was boxed as well. The car was originally from Eliot, Maine, and seems to be in good shape. I have a few electrical items to sort out but not too bad. It is currently running a '67 283 and turbo 350. Future plans are a top chop and maybe Flathead. There are alot of nice coupes on here for some inspiration, so we'll have to see what I can come up with.

Tiny pics, but it sure looks straight.

Yea, I guess it could stand a mild chop, but it sort of looks pretty good in the rear view pic.

    Nice straight coupe!
If it's got a roll & pleated interior, this HAMB-er may have done it,

keep the 283/350 combo...running the same in my 50 Chevy Deluxe, it's not even Power Pack heads and it runs something fierce.

Picking up another 283 this weekend or next....I lurves them.

You will be a lot happier keeping the 283 with the 350 vs the flathead. It's a period correct engine choice for this car and will be a lot easier on your budget not only in building but maintaining.

    Nice Coupe.

Guys, thanks for all the comments and humor,..makes sense to keep the 283 as it does run good,..I think I'm going to drive it like it is until fall, then get going on the top chop...here some better pics.

I agree with what Reindeer said. And in my opinion if you chop it then you'll have to channel it and lose the fenders to make it look right. Any Model A I've seen with a chopped top and fenders...looks like somebody dropped something on it. JMO. That being said... it's your car do anything you want to with it. I pretty sure it would be very hard to make that car look bad.
