will not be going back to little road

Sorry need to vent on this.
Went to the get-together on Little Road tonight, saw someone I knew parked outside the "show area". Walked over to talk to him and found out he was asked to leave because his truck has _______ pinstipping on it. Which he did, moved to the Albertsons parking lot (outside the coned of area). While we where talking the "promoter" comes over and starts yelling and calling him everything from a SOB to a prick. And threating to call the cops if he did not leave or even stepped foot in the "show area". He was not passing out cards, or trying to get any jobs. Yes his phone # is on the truck but you have to look for it (its not really in plane sight). not that it matters but its not his day job.
I dont want to say names but this happened to one of the nicest guys i have ever met. He never even raised his voice to this jerk as he was being yelled at. He even sent me a pm apologizing for it happening. He did not deserve the way he was treated.
The jerk said him being there was a conflict of intrest because of the ad on his truck. So i guess having the name of his car lot on the back window of all the over priced cars he has there is fine though.

Maybe the show isn't allowed to advertise in the parking lot or some legal something-or-other like that?

I don't know the details, but it sounds like this promoter fellow was trying to keep your buddy from potentially bringing down the show for everyone.

I can't pass judgment because I wasn't there.

My buddy was there with his 32 w a flatty so I went over there. Drove in and parked and went and found the head dude. I told him I just drove in and was it cool. He said yes as long as there are no for sale signs or advertising.

Was ok. One badass 55 gasser showed up.

shitty this happened. We went to the Ed Roth reunion a few years ago and was asked to leave cause we were out back having a beer with some of the stripers that were doing work there at Eds place.

 

I imagine the blank is there in place of the fella's name...i.e.: "So-and-so's Pinstriping".

It's not really a show, more of a hangout type thing. The only reason it happened was because he has his name on the truck.
I know of another time a older guy was asked to leave because he had a for sale sign on a original model a sedan.
