    Hi H.A.M.B members

    Greetings from Hong Kong

No real hot rods here, well not my kind, plenty of Lambos, Ferraris & other pasta & rice dinners

Been here 14 years, don’t get to drive..... It’s largely pointless in this particular city

Speak every other day with my dad, 'Granddad Hot rod' who operates a rod & race car factory in Victoria Australia..... After 45, 50 years building top end cars he has a lot of knowledge to impart' unfortunately I don’t get down to the work shop on the week ends like I should.

I have a small collection of cars & heirlooms for the next generation, my boy Hunter is 4 & a bit.... little bugger already has a 63 Corvette roadster, bought 4 him 3 months after he was born.

It came out of California with fatted gaurds, black with flames, a little tired but complete, something of a wild child, would love to know its past'

The intention is to have Granddad build it, Dad (me) to pay for it & hand it down we the time is right' want the wee guy to understand how talented & cool his Grand dad is!

The good news' Great News,... Just today I bought myself a father son project ...... though this time I’m the son

41 Chevy Coup' complete car less motor & box' once again I will play my part from afar.

Tried for a torpedo back 47 Buick; but the budget didnt make sence, still looking though, ssssshhhh dont tell the wife I said that

    How I found your site,

I was looking for contact info for Steve Stanford, next thing I know I’m registered & spilling my 'hot rodding' guts on line' its kinda my first time...... blush'

Look forward to getting to know some of you' and getting my Hot Rodding fix'

Hope you can all watch the 41 evolve

    All the best

    DJ'

Thanks for the great welcome Guy's

Searching the web and just of the dog n bone' talking to the old man' ...... discussing ideas for the 41

Will be interesting to see how the two generations come together to meld our vision..... A distillation process ......... with a couple of years brewing time'

Of course the magicians apprentice will bow to the old master'

PS. Just want to send out my thoughts to the people of Christchurch NZ
My home town.... haven’t been back for a long time' really humbled by what I’m seeing of the devastation in the news

    Hi Kiwi Packard

Agree about the local spirit' was talking to a friend in Christchurch who was describing the mood & togetherness in Canterbury as being exceptional

Christchurch will definitely have a new look in the years to come'
