I recently started building this 53 Bel Air and thought I would share some info and pictures. We are installing mustang II front suspension, triangulated rear four link and air bags. The original 235 and powerglide transmission will be replaced with a strong 355ci small block chevy and a Corvette 700r4. Enjoy!

When I started working on this car the customer wanted a daily driver that he could set on the ground. The rear had been notched and had major issues like rubbing fuel and brake lines, driveshaft rubbing the body and the exhaust would bind the steering so you couldn't turn left very well. I started by pulling the original 235 and power glide trans. Then I removed the stock suspension and crossmember. After grinding stock brackets I had the front frame forks ready for the test fit of the mustang II kit from speedway. Better pictures and more info coming soon.
