Hello to my fellow gearheads- I linked to this site from some other search I was doing about Dave Boertman's 71 Dodge Charger, and started reading about NHRA Junior Stock and enjoying the pics. I grew up in Pomona CA not far from the fairgrounds where the Winternationals are held and in the mid 60's the racers actually stayed in the local hotels, cars on their trailers etc. Dad and I would drive down Holt Av. and look at cars. I really liked the stock and super stock cl***, still do. I also like building model cars of that era, Mopars as my favorite, now building the above mentioned Charger. I will be rebuilding my 70 Dart soon, and I also have a 87 Buick GN. Great pics on this site, thanks to all.
