Well I've been building the Tri-power for my SBC. Now I'm going to have to ditch my HEI. Here is the rundown on the engine, it's a nothing special mild compression 350. Street driver, 5 speed (if it matters) My question is should I just rebuild one of the single points, vac advance units I have, should I grab a dual points unit with mech advance only, do they make a dual, with vac advance? Once I get it running, I'll most likely get a points eliminate kit ( that's why I'm leaning to single points). For street driving I'm guessing just the basic single point with vac, will be my best option, but I am asking because I'm not as informed on this as I should be. Keith
Contact GMC Bubba here on the hamb. He built me a small cap hei for my hotrod. Great guy to do business with and makes a good product.
Talked today on the phone , cant beat a old school aluminum housing with vacuum advance and a black delco distributor cap with pertronixs. Simple , good curve for the engine and vacuum adds approx 3 mpg.....
