Sounds like you've got a SOLUTION!
I've got a 2 car garage, and it's not enough space...

I am super jealous! I still have to build my cars in the driveway. "Someday", I tell myself... "someday". Congrats, seriously.

A six-car...that's definitely not a problem...besides, if the wife gets mad at you, there's plenty of room to sleep in the garage...!!!

My wife and I looked for a little over a year to find the right place. Man did the wait pay off. It's kind of an odd setup, but I really like it. It's a 2 car garage with a 36x22 carport on the front. The carport was totaly enclosed except for the front. I negotiated the kit to put in one big door and close off the front. So I will basically use the two car to hold tools, benches, equip. And I'm going to leave the carport section to work in. That way if I want to soda blast or paint I can close the doors on the 2 car and instantly have a 22x36 booth with out having to cover a bunch of stuff up. I think it will work great.

When we were house shopping, we almost bought this place with a 1400 sq. ft. shop. But my wife didnt like it...She had a problem with the train track running through the back yard. Picky, picky.

I found a 3 bedroom house with 1 bathroom. It was on a lot with 11 garages. The wife said no! The surrounding area was industrial.

Saw a little house (built 1910) with a brand new 6 stall garage (with lift). Problem was, it's on a major highway. Man, if it was just somewhere else.... garage is worth much more than the house. Been for sale for more than 2 yrs. now, they haven't come down a penny.

TomT, we added a second story to half of the addition to make a storage room, we call it the " In-law suite"
