Been building VWs for 25 years. Time to grow up...my first car is a 36 Ford. Have always admired street rods and am very excited to finally join in!:D

I also gave up the VW thing last year and dove back into American Iron. Congratulations!

    Welcome From Atlanta Georgia

I'm still a VW lover, I have a 73 Westy and I'm heading to Datona this weekend for a week of hanging in the bus. I also have a 31 Chevy I'm building. Time to get into something with a V8 Man. I love it.

    How about some pictures?

    Good luck

A lot of guys on this site are closet V.W. fans. Welcome to the H.A.M.B., Nice notchback.

Welcome Slantback, I also 'cut my teeth' on VW's.
Had some fun over the years too.
I used to 'race' a guy in his early Notchback and me in my 1835cc Bug most mornings on my way to work.
A '36 slantback? That's a nice way to 'step up' to the big stuff!

To bad you will not be able to shake your vw ways. Old Volkswagens are a itch that never goes away! Your not so much growing up,just branching out. With that said , please sell me your secret stash of Okr***a go fast goodies and parts for my early wolfsburg bus.
    Have fun, Ben

I love the "taboo" vw bug rods that people have been building. I am buying a bug for a secret project that I will only say will be "original". I bet you miss the mileage though.-ray
