super t10 flathead adapter ???

    I have a 1980 rebuilt super t 10 that I would like to use behind my flathead is this possible if so what adapter do I use the only close kit I see is the speedway on for gm 4 and 3 speeds the problem is they are for 10 spline input shafts and mine is a 26 spline this is the problem?? Should I sell and look for a t5 or??

    Sell it to buy a T5?? What do you want the car to do, long trips will work better with a T5. If you just want to put around, or drag race, the four speed may be the way to go. I used a stamped steel 49 or 50 Ford p***enger bell housing, and a home made adapter, with a T5 from a S10. When I did mine, the inexpesive adapters from Speedway were not yet available.

    Fitting the spline is matching the clutch disk to the transmission and really doesn't have anything to do with the adaptor. Correct diameter of disk with correct spline and you should that that issue solved.

    You just need to figure out how to match up the trans to the engine/bellhousing you have. What did the trans come out of originally?
