    I'm looking to put some mirrors on my econoline, being as the entire thing is pretty much a blind spot. Stock mirrors are simply out of the question. Considering the arms of the swan neck peep mirrors are so thin, I wanted to know if anyone has experienced enough vibration that would make me consider a different solution.

    I've also seen peep mirrors in 3 inch and 4 inch..... but are there bigger?

    Got them on my 1940 Ford Sedan Delivery - they work fine and if you cannot get the correct angle on the p***enger side, use a stick on convex blind spot mirror.

    I wanted something bigger than peep mirrors on my 65 Econoline since, like you said, they are just one big blind spot. I ended up going to a truck stop and getting two round convex mirrors - they come in a variety of diameters. They look the part being round and all and did an awesome job of letting me see everything because they were convex. Cheap too.
    I don't recall vibration being much of an issue.

    the small factory door-mount stands are pretty nice. use the parts store heads mentioned by the previous poster.

    Hey man,I feel your pain! We have a 54 panel truck over here in England, driving on the wrong side of the road and you wouldn't believe how many different combinations we tried before we got something usable. We tried your plan and got 5 inch heads and grafted them onto swan neck arms, but they looked like Mickey Mouse ears on our 54 Ford, so I don't think you'd like the overall effect on your Econoline. In the end we found some British mirrors with 4 inch heads and a very slight convex gl*** and after some very careful and thoughtful positioning we finally had a winner. Bonus is they are really sturdy even though they mount to the doors using only two small screws each. You can get them here, and I believe they will ship to the states;

    Just scroll down the page until you reach the "Tex round exterior door mirror with curved arm" and it will give you an option to buy a pair in a pulldown window. I've included some attachments to give you some idea of how they look.
    Best of luck,

    I run 3" flat peep mirrors on everything: '59 Ranchero, '62 Rampside pu, '66 Subaru pu, etc. No complaints about vibration. Good visibility and adjustment (for the driver's side. I can't get a p***enger side peep mirror that will adjust inward far enough to be usable.) I guess the 4" would give you a bigger field but I don't like the way they look.

    I put 4" peepers on my last truck but replaced the flat gl*** with 'fish eye' or wide angle mirrors. Once you get used to them you can see a LOT.
