I'm building a 34 3 window coupe and I'm trying to get some ideas of how to finish off the back of the coupe, It will be fenderless, not channelled. I did a 5 window for a customer but he bought a roll pan that tucked under, looks good but not what I'm looking for. Any ideas or pics would be great. Thanks, Brad
I will post pics of the car in the near future, it is a really rough coupe that I'm bringing back from the dead. Between mother nature and a few people "trying" to repair it, this has definately seen better days. I'll bring it back though, but right now I'm at the planning and gathering stage of the car. I have a 264 nailhead for it and some other goodies but trying to gt the whole "look" together. If anyone has some good pics, ideas, that would be cool. So my plan will be to run a stock grille and afull hood with the inner fender covers but no fenders or running boards. The body has already been chopped so it will stay chopped, I just have some major clean up work to do to it. Not sure if I'm going to fill the roof yet or go with cloth.
I prefer the tank on back for several reasons but primarily for the gas tank not being in the trunk. Here is my roadster to give the look of a tank and tail lights.
Guys, thanks for the input and pics, they are awesome, The primered black coupe I was drawn to right away has a lot of the styling that I like, and of course the red Burbank Chopper coupe is awesome, Does anyone have any pics of a fenderless coupe with the gas tank cover still on the back? I appreciate it guys, the HAMB is a great place, where else can you bounce ideas back and forth on 70+ year old cars. Pewsplace, I do like the idea of the tank in the back instead of inside the car, I just don't know if I like how busy it looks without the cover. Although the 99c pic, I like the rawness of the back of it. Thanks guys
I believe this is the idea your looking for. 2 of the finest fender-less w/rear pan model 40 coupes you will find. A.K.A. Ferguson and Pierson Coupes!!!
Those are great cars, Timeless! My mind is definately racing right now, I like the idea of the gas tank cover, but the stock one looks a little too long, a little bit akward, maybe if it was shortened up a little bit. The pierson coupe is a little shorter and to me looks like it flows better with the body. Thanks for the pics, this is get'n the blood pumpin. This is a great help, thank you
