I just sold my 33 Ford Coupe and I'm now looking for a 55 Chevy to turn into a Two Lane Blacktop type of Gasser. In the meantime I'm looking for 'period perfect' 55 Chevy Gasser interiors for some inspiration. Show me what you got!
Richard, posted today on Marktplaats are two Simca 1000 Rallye seats in Purmerend. Very much the same as above, be quick if you need them , they sell fast.
I don't know. It's not my car, but the owner is on the HAMB. Spoke to him at Mokan a few years ago, from the St Louis area, but can't remember his name. Somebody will.
Use this link to go look at a bunch of photos that will keep you busy for some time. Many of them are interior shots. All of them are tri-five gasser style cars. Have fun. http://public.fotki.com/redlinetoys/gassers/
Those are just your basic fiberglass or plastic "Race" seats that were first made popular with VW's and dune buggy's back in the 60's and variations of still sold though places like Summit today
Those look like old Harwood racing buckets. I've got what appears to be the same in my Austin gasser. $60 for the pair at the swap meet:
Bought my '55 in 2007 as a late '60s/early '70s California time capsule street machine. '67 Camaro buckets on wood blocks, old SWs in the dash, "metal shop" aluminum paneling had all been in there since the '60s, leather tuck and roll front and back. I swapped out the '70s wood steering wheel for a Superior 500 and swapped the '70s Sun tach for a '60s Sun unit. Otherwise it's late-60s original. Oh, and the Hurst SS3 replaced the old Mr. Gasket shifter in 2009 when I freshened the driveline. Whole car:
THis is the interior i did for my gasser influenced 55. I dont really consider it a race interior by anymeans . Just wanted red ha ha ha Itll look a little more race inspired when im finished . Im still working on it . No cage and i dont have my gauges or anyhting else in yet. And its still a bench seat car , i just prefer a bench over buckets.
I believe that's Jim Zakia's old 55 in post 3. Looks like generic "poly" seats like JAZ makes in it. And the start of my interior. Larry T
