Chrysler or dodge v8?

Hi guys im new here!anyway i picked this v8 up for a couple of bucks,the guy i bought it from said it was a 318 windsor chysler 5.2 v8,i opened it up and took a measurement and it certainly does'nt look like a 318 the bore is 90mm and the stroke 95mm,can you guys help me out?i dont want to go now and buy the wrong parts.

Yep poncho62 is right and it's the early mid 50's version before the later 318 type poly. ***uming your bore/stroke dimensions are approximate they are close to 3.5" bore and 3.75" stroke and one of the Chrysler guys on here will be able to tell you what you have. A rough calc gave 289 cubes but I don't know offhand what sizes there were in the early polys.

KDS=325 Dodge/DeSoto 1957 It is a hemi short block with poly heads.

KDS = 1957 Dodge 325 poly.

 

Put Hemi tech index in search. Also a 315 build on webrodder. 315 & 325 is a high deck Dodge engine.
