Yeah I don't fit very well in chopped cars... The front end will squat a lot, and the 33/34's already got a "chopped" look in my opinion

Todays results, started possitioning the hemi in the frame. Size wise it's a little bigger than I thought it'd be. :D If anyone is familiar with this adaption, Cad LaSalle to ext bell 331. I just picked up a motor and it had this adapter and lasalle ******, no clutch/flywheel/bearings or t/o arm.

Can you tell me what to look for?

    Thanks for any help
    Brandon

Now that the engines in I can re-install the original k member and bolt one of my floors to it. Then the body'll go on Sunday for mock-up and firewall fabrication.

Look at this hemi intake I scored! NOS Weiand Wc3d 3x2 intake. Holycow!

This weekend I got the K memeber measured, squared and tacked in... also I have a 33 set of pedals soaking in vinegar, it's going to take some cutting to get them to fit.

Cool thanks for the input, I love the hemi too. I havent done much lately, the firewall is done. I get my quickchange in the mail today, so I will start putting that together. I finally have everything for the 3 speed lasalle ******, except clutch and pressure plate. Lately I have gotten a couple offers on trading my unchopped body for a chopped one, so I dont know if I wil entertain that idea or not. I am still looking for an original /waiting on Steves Real Steel for their decklids to be available.

    I have a 34 with the 33 doors.
With the SBC 350.. Hemi's are so much more $ but the wow factor is gotta be worth the expense.

Ok Here ya go... I spent all day on the quickchange. I used new 3" DOM, currie 9 inch ends and large bearing backing plates and drums. It is 56.5" wide. The center section is a Halibrand 301, Frankland bells, and a DPI posi 31 spline unit. I just ordered a stainless 4 bar kit from Speedway.

Thanks! I just want a car that will be simple, old-school and be something different on the street. It seems like evry 33/34 around here is a custom or billet trailer queen. I love horsepower, but as I found with my blown 32, high horsepower is tough on the wallet and not very street friendly. I hope the hemi and lasalle will suffice in that area.
