    Hi Gang!
I have a 37 chevy 1/2 ton pickup! It has a 4 speed with granny low? The Clutch likage mounts to the side of trans! Question? I don't need the granny low will a truck 3 speed trans fit in place of 4 speed? Does anyone have one laying around they want to get rid of? Tks Bill mtnmanbf@aol.com

I'm not 100% sure tho I think it would. Try asking the folks at stovebolt.com. They will know! Good luck!

The clutch linkage should attach to the side of the bellhousing not the transmission. Are you still running a torque tube?If so I believe a standard 3 speed enclosed driveline transmission will work.

The 3 and 4 speeds are the same length but why retain the original stuff, get a adapter and install a T-5 and put in a much better rear end and you will be much happier. I drove my 37 with the original trans and rear end for 8 years and could not wait to get rid of it and finally got a t-5 behind the 235 and its much better at highway speeds now.
