I have a problem, (aside from the obvious). How would I get a 348 from Florida to the pacific NW without breaking the bank? A relay? Could that happen for that distance???

  2. A relay could happen four or five years ago no reason it couldn't happen today.

look over on or post over on the HAMB relay social group. It will probably take several fellas and gals to get it to you but it is doable.

Otherwise a trucking company is your only other option just start shopping around. It will have to be crated and if it were mine I would not want it to be obvoius on the outside of the crate what it was or is.

here is a link to the relay group:

It may actually cost more than the engine did to ship it.

This site might give you some pretty good ideas on freight charges
    http://www.freightcenter.com/Index.aspx

From Florida to Bellingham runs about 475 from the Orlando terminal to the Kent, wa terminal. That's for Express Global. Others are on up and way on up That was figuring 750 lbs total in a 40x36x36 box on a pallet.
If you have a buddy or relative who owns a business that will let them use their business name for shipping or own a business that helps with the cost.

Freight terminal to freight terminal almost always saves money when shipping stuff like that.

Something else that might work is if one of our guys who haul cars across country for fees has a trip coming up from Florida to somewhere on the West coast to get the engine closer.
It would still have to be in a small crate on a pallet that could be picked up easily with a forklift and the seller might have to deliver it to where a car was being picked up. You would have to pay some to get it hauled but probably not near what the freight companies want.
