    Ahoy-hoy!

This is in response to the other post. I just wanted the pertinent info to be at the front instead of buried.

I just got word that the website wil be updated the first week of April. So check there around then for all the gory details and to register online.

    In the meantime...

If you want to call for info, try Boomer at 248.623.6418. If you want to register, send $20 to:

    Billetproof-Michigan
    5845 Dixie Highway
    Clarkston, MI 48346

(please note that there is a different address for Billetproof, CA)

    Registration gets you:

    one vehicle admission
    two people admissions
    event poster
    event patch
    event sticker

Not counting the car entry that's a value of $48 for your 20 bucks. Not too shabby!

You'll get info about the event and the Friday night gig with your confirmation.

Don't forget that there will be a swap meet, burnout contest, model contest, panel jam, live music (possibly Twistin' Tarantulas), vendors, raffle and, of course, the new LIVE FIGURE 8 RACING!

If you wanna race, give Boomer a call, he has all the rules and they're pretty basic. There is a $2000 total cash purse up for grabs at the races. But as a bonus, there will be an additional $500 awarded to the winner if they are racing a pre-'70 car!

BTW I will be racing, so bring it on!

Races start at 7pm so there will be time to go to town and grab dinner or hang out and booze it up before we start the carnage.

Also, don't get your panties in a wad but, walk in admission for Billetproof Michigan has gone up to $10. Why! It includes the figure 8 racing, which is usually at least $10 to check out anyway. If that's too much for you, then you shouldn't be leaving your cardboard box anyway.

Questions? Call Boomer or ask me on here. Thanks!

  2. As far as I know, Twistin' Tarantulas are playing. I believe we're playing Boomer's joint on Friday as well. You can always check www.twistintarantulas.com/shows.html to find out, or, of course, billetproof.com.

I didn't realize you were in the band. Is your folks Gary and Sandy Meadors from Livonia by any chance, or use to live in Livonia I should say? Use to cruz around in a pale yellow 48 Pontiac I think it was?? In any event, looking forward to seeing your band play again BilletProof weekend.

Will there be a motorcycle area this year? I remember last year all the bikes were crammed outside the gates, a couple of them were really cool. Anyway, just a thought.. I might want to ride my BSA ('34) out there that day.. :)

'64 and older bikes are definitely welcome. We had about 10 last year in the show.

Since every town has its bad areas, how about a list of Hotels/Motels that would be safe to stay at and not worry about our cars being messed with.

  7. Yer thinking of Gary, the drummer! I'm the guitar player. Gary moved out to LA about a year ago. I just saw him two weeks ago, he's doing good. We have a new drummer, Jeff. He's got a real clean 65 GTO I'm hoping he'll take it out to the show. Well, be sure to come up and say hi.

Try Boomer at the above number. Davisburg is really like an hour from Detroit. It's in the boonies, so I don't think there are really any bad areas.

Well, I just read the rules, and I have to ask,

How many people are running mag wheels that WERE actually made in the '60's or before???

I guess I'll quit planning to have the coupe done for the show, because I bought brand new front wheels for it, and the back wheels were probably made sometime in the 70's!:(

They don't have to have physically been cast in the 60's, just be a style that looks like they are from that era.

Muttley....That's just the flyer! The poster will be even better.
