hi. after visiting this site for a while, i decided to dump my triumph and find a cool nostalgia-type rod project. not much to spend, so i decided to build the first machine that presented itself (within reason, fenderless cars are impossible in PA). found a running flat-6 and a '49 F1 front clip at the local high-school shop ($150). got a rolling chassis,6 and a gearbox, really clean with new brakes, clutch, and rad on E-vil ($214), and my neighbor gave me a set of steelies, a perfect bench seat and a flathead 8. the rod-gods have spoken. all i need now is a decent cab and i'm rollin'. the plan is to use the flat6, and someday build the 8. anyone whose running an inline, i'd be interested to hear from you. i haven't seen much info on the web concerning the 6 cylinder motors. personally, i think they're cool. that's about it. chris
I guess thats what Johnny Cash would do. 1piece at a time. Welcome to the best garage in the country.
I hope that Triumph was a car or one of those new crotch rockets. Let's just say it was and go from there. Welcome and have fun on the HAMB.
