myself im baffled on what to do with my car. i love my a/c but my current project has very limited room. any ideaS?
i flip my vent window backwards on my buick... but seriously though, i would check out vintage air. i know they came out with some nice compact units in the last few years
If it's really hot, roll UP the windows to keep out the engine heat and pop open the cowl vent. Works amazingly well.
4/70 (the first number depends on the body style of the car, the second number depends on gearing, where you drive, etc)
In Florida, back in the day, kids would keep the car windows rolled up to pretend they had air conditioning. Anyway, our house didn't even have air conditioning - never thought of trying that trick with the house, though...
great info and pics guys. ive thought of all of this. how about fans? just get some air moving. under my dash is really a cluster of mess that i cant move. i have a 32 plymouth btw with dash cluster in middle of dash taking up all the room. i might move later and relocate the gauges.
i found this on ebay. its the perfect size but i dont know if its worth a count and i think its a little pricey http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-...9?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_100&hash=item45f91b31f5
I have no windows in my phaeton so it's permanently air-conditioned . In summer I open the cowl vent and in winter I close it. My 46 Olds is definitely getting AC because it has a roof and wind up windows this time around. Plus I have a NOS Thermador to hang off the door for aesthetics.
No problemo, a nos 4/60 with wing window add ons and a tailgate window for an ultimate flow on the 59 Ranch Wagon. Hey its only a hunnert and six out there, midwest madness. The smooth set up on the Lincoln sedan however gave me some ideas! Yikes!! ~sololobo~
PM me if interested. I have an Air-Tique mini heater / A/C unit (new) that I'd part with reasonably. I am about to place it on Ebay. - EM
What are you...some kind of puss?? A real hot rodder don't need no stinkin air conditioning! meow.........
While we're ball bustin, you certainly don't announce you are baffled by an a/c unit with so much info available on them in every single magazine.
Cowl vent. If you have all that aluminum insulation and sound deadening **** in the cabin, you roll up your windows (probably power if you have AC), then you can't hear the pipes. Might as well be driving an Accord or a Camry!
