Hi folks! Finally after years of driving Mazdas in various sporting guises, I realised that there was something missing in my life. I am sure it's the blood, sweat and tears that go with creating one's own rod. I dunno; I've never done it, but I am missing it already- if you know what I mean. My current ride is a very fast sleek thing, but for some reason it just doesn't inspire me any more. Got my eye on a couple of cars down my way. One in particular is a very tired looking 50's Buick Sedanette which I plan to check out tomorrow. Have been ***ured she is all there (which is more than I can say about myself), and she even starts, so that is half the battle. If the price is right and the gods are smiling, it could just happen that I become the proud new owner. Hey, nice place you guys have here!
Let's see some pictures tomorrow. Welcome. And by the way, not too many here that are averse to the occasional bit of speed.
Welcome friend, go after that Buick, they are one of the coolest cars on the planet. Enjoy! ~sololobo~
Thanks guys. Won't be tomorrow as hoped. Owner is out of town. Fingers cross next week will be the day. Will take lots of pictures. My main concern is whether this car is gonna fit in my garage. Its only a single garage and the mrs has stashed it with wads of junk (mostly Christmas decorations). I can see a garage sale coming on, when she is not looking. Anyone know how wide the 50 sedanette is from fender to fender?
Hmmm. Garage taken over by Wife's junk, including Christmas Decorations....You haven't been peeking into my Garage have you? Welcome aboard from Victoria.
Welcome from the great central valley in California. Going to take the wife down under if the economy ever gets better........keeping our fingers crossed we don't die first
Welcome from Victoria ,if your wife is like mine she keeps a clean house but just stuffs **** into my workshop.LOL......
