If you were to paint just the roof, then you still really wouldn't have to worry about door dings, chips, and such. Just a thought I had. I like the <dreaded word to some> patina.

 

The "Before" picture looks as though somebody drove it to where it was sitting when you found it and just parked it. Glad you got it instead of the s**** metal man. Feels great to fire it up and take it down the road, doesn't it?

I'm painting the roof beige like the wheels,and possibly a fulton visor.

Chico, I wiped it down with wax and grease remover and rattle canned it. The head gasket is com-metal and a 2 piece rubber gasket. Thanks for the kind words. This build went together with no problems almost like the car was helping me
