Going to San Antonio with the family at the end of the month, and seeing if there was anything worth checking out while we are down there?

The riverwalk is where most people go. I was there 7-8 years ago for 5 months and we hung at a bar couple blocks from the riverwalk called Alazes (not sure on the spelling) 4 bottled beers in a bucket of ice for 5 bucks wasn't a bad deal and they had pool. If you go to the river walk and go to a place called ****s, they treat you like ****, hence the name. Also, if you go to ****s restaurant the bathroom is not up the two flights of stairs, it's a joke. The waitress said "did you find the bathroom" to me and laughed, I said the jokes on you because I pissed up there. Really the best restraints are the mom and pop shops off the beaten path.

There is 6 Flags and Sea World, If the weather is warm there is tubing on the Guadalupe and Comal rivers. There is the Hill Country. There is plenty to do in San Antonio and surrounding areas. Austin is about 30 miles away too. Plenty to see and do. Enjoy your self.

:DI made a trip there several years ago and stayed at a hotel right on the River Walk (the name slips me now) The River Walk was OK a few decent places to eat but the big shocker was the Alamo... sure wasn't what I expected in size, but after visiting I found out that only a small percentage of the site survives, but worth seeing for the history lesson for sure.
