Wow man, I've just went through this whole thread, and that sled's come a long way. I feel for ya about all that rust man. Mine's a Texas car, and the floors in it sucked, so I know yours must be pretty far gone.
i wish i would have brought a parts car from texas or something i purchased 4 cars and harvested what i could over the past 6 years to stock up on stuff for my car and they where all shot from the floors up like mine orig i was going to put everything new on the orig chassis but since i was going to fabb so much i did the swap instead i can't wait to finish cause then i can start on my next idea i have it is going to be crazy to give ya a hint my car will pull this thing around
hats off to this guy ..... this is some real world shit . Hes building it the way he wants . and he has major drive... and when eveything is limited ( space money aand skill its esay to give up or slow down ) i can respect that .

somedays you get a stroke of genius im drilling out the bolts on the exhaust manifold flange they where shot and couldn't unscrew one of them you have to drill from the bottom up which i had a hard time doing so then i to my car jack rested the drill on it with the bit where its suppose to go and slowly drilled with pumping the jack very slowly and spraying grease on it at the same time worked like a charm a reversed drill press now question for you guys on the drivers side exhaust is a flap inside to restrict flow i guess when car is cold it seems im missing the part the moves it back and forth and looks like it is controlled by vacuum there is a tiny hose from the front that runs to this area but is not capped off (vacuum leak?) does this infact help the car start in cold weather cause then i would like to make this work again the flange moves freely and there are no signs of exhaust leak in that area also are the bolts special or can i use a regular nut & bolt cause i dont want to tap the hole again if bolts get stuck you cut them and they fall apart these where stuck in the thread
