Its starting to get warm again and I was just wondering if anyone knew of any car shows or cruise ins any where around in Georgia. I know the Dawsonville has the moonshine festival but i forget what time of year it is and I know there was a traditional hotrod show last year sometime I forget the name of it but i want to say it was some where on the east side of Atlanta. If any one knows of any upcoming shows just let me know. I'd like to get out and see every ones cars while im in the middle of my build I think it will be good motivation.
First Friday of every month in Gadsden Al. huge cruise, about 10 blocks of everything you could think of and about two hours west of ATL. When I get home tonight I will get you some local info fo ATL
Cartersville cruise in is the first Saturday of the month in downtown Cartersville. Rockmart is second Saturday (Ingles parking lot next to McDonald's on 278), Cedartown cruise-in downtown on 4th Friday evening, Dallas cruise-in (downtown near the old courthouse) is 4th Saturday, all run from April-October. Paulding Meadows show at Dallas is always the 4th Saturday in April at Paulding Meadows Park on GA 61 (a couple of miles north of Dallas going toward Cartersville). Piedmont AL has a good show in the park in downtown Piedmont on Saturday 3/19--that's the first show of the season in this area. Noccalula Falls show in Gadsden is always Father's Day weekend.
SHOW N GO nostalgia drag race/swap meet/car show may 14, july 2, and oct. 8 @ paradise dragstrip in calhoun, ga. also, 3rd sat of every month from march till oct. fort oglethorpe ga has a cruise in. usually between 200-400 cars. 3pm till ???

not tons of traditional hot rods, but if you like a little of everything, caffeine and octane, first sunday of every month is a cool little show. there's some dumb stuff, muscle cars and ****s with too much money, but there is also some really neat stuff you dont see every day. morgan 3 wheelers, 50s race spec porches, all the way to brand new le mans ready cars, and everything in between. Cool way to spend a sunday morning. We drove our little aluminum modified down there one time and it was awesome to watch everyone scratch their head. http://www.caffeineandoctane.com/
I HIGHLY recommend the Gadsden cruise.We go everytime Im off.It is more of a street festival with a hundred or so cool cars thrown in.Dont eat before you get there,you will find some of the best ribs being cooked on the spot.Advise from a fatboy.
2nd the gadsden cruise its an little over an hour from me but well worth it. lots of cars and good food. everyone around goes there and hangs out. the whole family enjoys it.
