I am not sure where to ask, but how does one put on an event like Billetproof or any of the other Hot Rod events.
I would love to put on a Drag Racing event for Hot Rods and G***ers here in Florida but I am not sure how to put one on, I am also not sure if anyone would take a 19 year old seriously enough to do so. I probably don't have enough cash for it either.

Anyone know how to set up a Hot Rod event?

1st step is to find a few like minded people to help you from the beginning.

Join a local car club and volunteer your time.

  5. If you need to ask then it's probably more than you can handle. You need to join a club that way hopefully they will be there to help you out. But yes it does take a great amount of work and effort and lot's of money! Good luck!

do a search here, subject covered before. use different wording in search , not everyone approaches every subject from same angle. not an easy task that you are dreaming about. but, anything is possible if everything lines up.

events are a big project and best done through clubs-it's a lot of work and an all hands event. you need insurance, a location that doesn't go against any laws or codes, usually some if not all of the following: ADVERTISE like crazy, what type of vehicles, is it going to be judged or not, trophies, music, food, booze, raffles, you name it. wouldn't suggest trying it alone, a lot of work.

    Start with lots of money
Start with lots of free time

when you are done you will have neither :D

Putting on an event is LOTS of work. Its more than just saying "we are racing at the track on this date" and hoping people show up.

that being said, taking part in the execution of an event is one of the best ways to see how its done.

Oh and btw... if you are putting on the event, you dont get to participate in it or really get to see any of it. Your satisfaction comes from having put on a good event that other people enjoyed.
